Hi there. AoE for Mac does not exists, but that doesn’t mean you can’t play it.
I play AoE II, in a Macbook air, running MacOS X, through Windows Parallels. (This is a software that emulates Windows 8.1 in your mac.)
Step by Step:
Download and Install Windows Parallels in your Mac. (you may need to pay for complete version)
Once Parallels is running, open Internet Explorer (default browser) and get into Welcome to Steam.
Download Steam Installer.
Open an account and search for the game in the software that you just downloaded.
Buy the game for around $20 USD
That’s it. You will all of this while running Windows Parallels in your Mac, and it will run great. No lag and good resolution.
