Is an old processor like i5 3470 paired with GTX 1050ti is still a better option than New Kabylake Pentium G4560 paired with GTX 1050? I am thinking of going for the Pentium one its new and better ghz!!

You can upgrade to an i7. That i5 can hang with most modern graphics cards as well. I understand the Pentium is on a newer platform and offers newer upgrade options. However if I'm trying to build a budget system I'm usually going for the most bang for my buck. The Pentium system doesn't do that.

I'm pretty sure the combined 15,000 users that benchmarked their cpu on that site is enough. It is for me anyway.

I think no one can provide accurate reviews or what else by just sitting on our sofa if you really want some solid comparison out of it than you have to put both of the CPUs on desk and benchmarked them with equality p/s votes..still favors g4560

No, cache doesn't work like that. Just because its 4 years old doesn't mean it can't still outdo that Pentium in every way. Gaming and pretty much any other workload 4 physical cores is always better when from comparable architecture. It doesn't even matter though because the 1050ti is still a better performing card and isn't going to be bottlenecked by the older i5. So no matter what his system will perform better in games period.

your are not getting me.... this CPU is about 4 Generations older so it perhaps roughly used for about 4-5 yrs.... now the thing is the older your CPU gets its cahce will be fu**up with files and junks ie the moment you delete your files from recycle bin is where you are messing and filling your cm.....So as far as my opinion is concerned it was based upon overall performance but you are just talking about gaming even not suspecting rendering of files and still if you want to play such 4 cores games you can easily hyperthread it if you know any comp.

What? You don't understand how this works at all do you? The i5 has similar clock speeds and 4 physical cores. Its gonna outperform that Pentium even if it is hyperthreaded. The 1050 ti is a better card period. Its not just the memory its literally a different faster gpu.

it is because clock speed is what matters not cores and vram never supports your speed it only maximize the visualization...

This is a Pentium/1050 system, Its in no way faster than an i5/1050ti.
